门／桌到门／桌的服务形式也是航空快递公司最常用的一种服务形式。
首先由发件人在需要时电话通知快递公司，快递公司接到通知后派人上 门取件，然后将所有收到的快件集中到一起，根据其目的地分拣 、整理、制单、报关、发往世界各地，到达目的地后 ，再由当地的分公司办理清关、提货手续，并送至收件人手中 。在这期间，客户还可依靠快递公司的电脑网络随时对快件 （主要指包裹）的位置进行查询，快件送达之后，也可以及时通过电脑 网络将消息反馈给发件人。
